All planets revolve around the sun. This theory is ages old but do you know when first time Italian Astronomer Galileo Galilei proposed this theory, he was punished for the same today in 1663. Galileo used his newly invented telescope to discover four of the moons circling Jupiter, to study Saturn, to observe the phases of Venus, and to study sunspots on the Sun. 13 June : First object to leave the solar system

Before we discuss this object, let’s see some pics.           These pictures have been clicked by Pioneer 10. Why is it so important ? Because it is credited with being the first object that could achieve the escape velocity from the solar system. Pioneer 10 is an American space probe, launched in 1972. It weighed 258 kilograms. Between July 15, 1972, and February 15, 1973, it became the first spacecraft to traverse the asteroid belt. It completed the first mission to the Planet Jupiter.
